One Thing: Mid-Stride Reset
Lessons from HYROX NYC: micro-recovery for hard moments
Hi friends,
HYROX doubles racing turns performance into a partnership. You’re not just managing your effort; you’re staying present to your collective capacity. After the sled push in NYC on Thursday, we made a quick call to shift strategy. We adjusted the pace, redistributed effort at some of the stations, and prioritized staying connected as a team.

It was a different kind of race. It was more about adapting to the reality of the moment and supporting each other. I still felt present and powerful, which were the two intentions I architected last week.
It also forced a question. What do you do when there’s no time to stop, but you still need to stay with yourself?
Mid-stride reset
We couldn’t take a ten-minute, or even a one-minute, reset. So I kept finding a two-second one, mid-stride:
Find your breath. Notice it. If you can’t slow it down, don’t try. Simply feel it as it is.
Feel your feet. See if you can feel your feet on the ground. Let your body be your anchor, not your racing mind.
That’s it.
It won’t change everything. But it can change you by helping you stay steady, present, and connected to yourself.
Take good care,
Lisa

yay - you did it!
