One Thing: Listening Inward
The body's wisdom is a source of self-trust.
Hi friends,
Last week I wrote about self-kindness as a foundation of self-trust. When I meet myself with kindness rather than criticism, I begin to trust that my wisdom is valid. And that trust and wisdom actually live in the body.
The body holds a wisdom beyond the mind’s comprehension, past the reach of the inner critic. It doesn’t talk back with negative thoughts. It simply knows.
This is why practices like daily meditation, stretching, yin yoga, and sauna have become essential for me. They help me be more present in my body and listen to my inner knowing. The more I practice, the more natural kindness and self-trust become.
Listening Inward
In this brief meditation, Sebene Selassie guides us gently into our bodies to explore two questions:
What do I need right now?
What wants to emerge in my life?
Afterward, notice what’s here. How much trust do you have in your body’s wisdom? The invitation is to return, again and again, and take your time.
Take good care,
Lisa
